After last season, the Packers needed to find a new direction for their special teams. The Packers were ecstatic to get a top coordinator in Rich Bisaccia.
After becoming the interim head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders following the Jon Gruden scandal, many wondered whether Bisaccia would be available. The Raiders ended up hiring former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels instead.
One analyst thinks that Packers coach Rich Bisaccia should have been the head coach of the Raiders.
Would the Raiders be 0-3 if they gave Rich Bisaccia the head coaching job?

Anytime an interim coach takes over, the expectations are rather low. The interim inherits a roster he did not create and has to rally the team. Usually, the team responds well initially before coming back down to earth. This was not the case for Rich Bisaccia.
The Raiders were in the playoff picture late in the season. They had to secure a win against the Chargers in Week 18 and show grit to win an ugly game. This propelled them into the playoffs. Ross Tucker thought that this should have been enough for Bisaccia to keep the job. Instead, the Packers were the beneficiary as they hired Bisaccia to fix their special teams unit.
If Josh McDaniels and the Raiders were 3-0, I doubt we are having this discussion. The disappointing start to the season has already brought up questions regarding the Raiders. This was a team that had Super Bowl aspirations after trading for Davante Adams. The numbers are not kind to teams that start 0-3 in terms of making the playoffs. The fact that the Raiders are struggling does bring up the question of whether the Raiders were better off sticking with Bisaccia.
Ultimately the Packers seem to have benefitted by the Raiders not hiring Bisaccia. The special teams have been much improved so far this year and Bisaccia is a big part of that.
