49ers OL Jon Feliciano says Eagles DT Jalen Carter threatened him and his children with death during game

The bad blood between the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers seems to be getting worse.

It certainly isn't getting any less bizarre.

The latest chapter of back-and-forth between these two teams occurred Tuesday evening in an exchange between 49ers offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Feliciano made headlines earlier in the week by publicly pointing out a mistake made by guard Spencer Burford during a pivotal overtime play against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII, to which Carter responded by writing "Same dude who spoke on my dead teammate and the reason I was emotional during our game." Carter was referring to former University of Georgia player Devin Willock, who died along with team recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy during a street racing crash Carter was involved in last January.

Feliciano responded with a series of posts on X stating he only mentioned the incident after Carter threatened to kill him and his children, which he Feliciano claims he did multiple times in response to him laughing at a penalty Carter drew during the 49ers' 42-19 win in Philadelphia back in November. Feliciano also claimed Carter posted pictures of his children on Instagram, after which he notified the NFL about Carter's behavior.

"Dude told me he was gonna murder me and my kids would never see me again 3x because I was laughing at him after getting a flag … I said I believe you you got a body. Then he continued for weeks posting my fam n reachin out to my friends," Feliciano wrote. "If you dish it you gotta be able to take it. He talked about my kids, I made that reference. I lost a friend to an accident too so I understand why he was upset. I did feel bad thought about apologizing until he started posting my kids on his IG [Instagram] then I had to get NFL involved."
