The Wizards have signed guard Chase Audige to an Exhibit 10 contract for training camp, the team announced in a press release.
Audige is 6-foot-4 and went undrafted out of Northwestern this past summer. He then signed on with the Heat for Summer League, appearing in five games and averaging averaging 5.4 points and 1.2 steals.
As a senior at Northwestern last season, he compiled averages of 14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
Now, he will have a shot at competing for a two-way spot with Washington. And the Wizards do indeed have one two-way slot available.
An Exhibit 10 contract counts toward the preseason roster of 21, but not toward the regular-season roster. Should Audige end up with the G League’s Capital City Go-Go he will be eligible for a $75,000 bonus after 60 days.
Official: We have signed Northwestern guard Chase Audige to an Exhibit 10 contract.
