Who Are The Knicks' Summer League Rookies?
USA TODAY Sports

The New York Knicks unveiled their 2023 Las Vegas Summer League roster on Monday, showcasing 14 players vying for roster spots in both the NBA and G League. Six of those players are undrafted rookies looking to start their professional careers on the right note, their first chance coming on Saturday late afternoon against the Philadelphia 76ers' prospects (5 p.m. ET, MSG/NBA TV).

Get to know the six NBA rookies on the Knicks' Summer League roster below:

C/F Justyn Hamilton

Hamilton spent his first three college years at Temple University before transferring to Kent State for two final years. The 6-foot-11 big man later went to Switzerland, playing for the Lugano Tigers, where he averaged 19.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and two blocks per game last season.

G Jaylen Martin

Inked to a two-way deal, Martin went to the Overtime Elite league instead of college and played for the YNG Dreamerz last season. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 14 points, 5.9 rebounds, and a very solid 1.7 steals per game.

F Khalid Moore

Moore attended Georgia Tech University for four seasons (2018-22) but didn't receive a lot of minutes. The 6-foot-7 forward moved to Fordham University in The Bronx as a graduate transfer and averaged 15.7 points and 6.7 rebounds on 48.6 percent shooting from the field during the Rams' finest season in over three decades.

G QJ Peterson

Peterson is the eldest member of the team at 28. The 6-foot guard spent 2022-23 in the CBA in China and averaged 28.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and two steals while shooting 38 percent from downtown.

G/F David Shriver

The 6-foot-6 guard/forward spent 2022-23 at VCU where he averaged just 6.5 points per game, but shot a very solid 40.3 percent from downtown.

F Race Thompson

Thompson spent 2018-2023 at Indiana University but didn't shoot the ball very often. The 6-foot-8 forward took about six shots per game in his final season (over 23 minutes a game), but he scored over 49 percent of his attempts from the field, averaging 8.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
