Washington Wizards Sign Former Northwestern Star
USA TODAY Sports

Chase Audige played five seasons of college basketball for William & Mary and Northwestern.

This past year, he averaged 14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.4 steals per contest while shooting 36.8% from the field and 32.5% from the three-point range in 34 games for the Wildcats.

Audige went undrafted in June but played for the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League.

He averaged 6.4 points and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in seven games (five in Las Vegas and two in Sacramento).

The 24-year-old has now signed with the Washington Wizards

Via The Wizards: "Official: We have signed Northwestern guard Chase Audige to an Exhibit 10 contract."

Over his college career, Audige averaged 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 38.9% from the field and 32.2% from the three-point range in 113 games.

Since the contract is an Exhibit 10, Audige could end up playing for the Capital City Go-Go (G League affiliate of the Wizards) next season if he doesn't make the roster.

As for the Wizards, they are coming off a year where they were the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record.

Despite having a talented roster, they missed the NBA playoffs and the play-in tournament for the second straight year.

Going into next season, the Wizards will look much different, as they traded away Bradley Beal ( Phoenix Suns) and Kristaps Porzingis (Boston Celtics).
