Sixers Officially Re-Sign Montrezl Harrell
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The 76ers have officially re-signed forward/center Montrezl Harrell, the team announced in a press release.

Per Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice, Harrell is receiving a one-year contract for the veteran’s minimum that is fully guaranteed.

Harrell declined his $2.76 million player option for the veteran’s minimum at the end of the season. But by signing a new one, he will be receiving a small raise, at $2.89 million.

Harrell, 29, was a regular part of the rotation during the regular season, appearing in 57 games and averaging 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds. But he only stepped on the court in two games during the playoffs.

His numbers last season were his lowest since his rookie year, but perhaps he will get an increased opportunity under new coach Nick Nurse, who seemed to favor tough, physical players while with the Raptors. Harrell undoubtedly fits such a description.
