Six-time All-Star Kyle Lowry on NBA future: 'I want more championships'

Longtime Toronto Raptors star Kyle Lowry is set to become a free agent, and he told reporters he has two priorities when it comes to choosing his next team: getting a lengthy, lucrative contract and playing for a contender.

The 35-year-old is likely set to sign the final contract of his career, and he wants to make sure he is given the chance to compete while also being compensated properly. The biggest question is if he will be forced to choose between a lengthy contract and competing for titles, as contenders may be unwilling to break the bank in order to sign an aging point guard for multiple years.

Of course, Lowry could end up staying in Toronto to finish out his career with the Raptors, but he was noncommittal about his future with the team, simply saying that "decisions will be made" in regard to his future.

Despite Lowry's age, he showed this season that he can still be a valuable contributor when he's on the court, averaging 17.2 points and 7.3 assists per game.
