Sacramento Kings Reportedly Release A Player
USA TODAY Sports

On Friday evening, the Sacramento Kings faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves (on the road) at the Target Center.

The Kings won the game by a score of 124-111, and All-Star point guard De'Aaron Fox led the way with 36 points, seven rebounds, 12 assists and one steal while shooting 14/32 from the field and 3/7 from the three-point range in 37 minutes.

Following the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Kings will waive Filip Petrusev.

Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: The Sacramento Kings are waiving F Filip Petrusev, who’s expected to sign a deal overseas. The Kings plan to hold open the 15th roster spot for the foreseeable future. Petrusev, 23, appeared in two games for Kings."

Petrusev was the 50th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and was traded (via the Philadelphia 76ers) Los Angeles Clippers earlier this season.

Before playing for the Clippers, he was then traded to the Kings.

The 23-year-old has played in three NBA games (one with the 76ers and two with the Kings).
