Reports: 76ers to sign F Darius Bazley

The short-handed Philadelphia 76ers plan to sign power forward Darius Bazley to a 10-day contract, according to multiple reports Monday.

Bazley, 23, plays for Philadelphia's G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, and is averaging 20.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.5 blocks in 18 games.

He was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 23rd overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft and the next month was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies and then the Oklahoma City Thunder on the same day.

Bazley played in 228 games (118 starts) over parts of four seasons for the Thunder (2019-23) and Phoenix Suns (2023). He averages 9.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.

The 76er are dealing with injuries to sidelined starters Joel Embiid (knee), Tobias Harris (hip) and Nicolas Batum (hamstring).
