Pat Connaughton not with Bucks following positive coronavirus test

On the same day that the NBA reported zero positive coronavirus cases among players inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex bubble, Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton told ESPN and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he hasn't yet joined teammates in Florida because he tested positive for the virus.

"I did not travel with our team after I tested positive," Connaughton said via a prepared statement. "I am healthy and I feel great and I am excited to join my teammates in Orlando once I meet all the NBA protocols."

Per league guidelines, Connaughton must provide negative coronavirus test results before he's cleared to enter the bubble. From there, he will have to quarantine in a hotel room and again test negative.

Before the NBA halted play on March 11 due to the pandemic, the 27-year-old reserve appeared in 61 games for the Bucks this season. He averaged 5.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per outing.
