New York Knicks: Josh Hart Has the Most Hilarious Reaction to Jalen Brunson’s 42-Point Game

Jalen Brunson made history for the New York Knicks when he put out a 42-point performance against the Sacramento Kings recently. After the game, Josh Hart gave a reaction that will surely solicit some laughter about the point guard’s historic night.

Just recently, the Knicks went home with a 98-91 win over the Kings. In that game, Brunson dropped 42 points on 60 percent shooting, 50 percent from downtown, and 75 percent from the free throw line. He also made four rebounds, two assists, and four steals in 36 minutes on the court. Josh Hart contributed nine points, 13 rebounds, and three assists for New York.

The Kings, meanwhile, saw Domantas Sabonis put up a dominant double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds,. De’Aaron Fox, for his part, added 20 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists.

The win helped solidify New York’s hold on the fourth spot as their record went up to 38-27. The Kings now have 37 wins and 27 losses, which translates to the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

After the game, Hart was asked about Brunson’s historic 42-point game. The Knicks’ guard gave this response to the matter in a post by Fred Katz on X:

Josh Hart on Jalen Brunson’s 42-point performance: “Maybe he’ll pass a little bit more next game.”

Brunson is now the fourth player in Knicks history to have scored 40 or more points in back-to-back games. The other three are Patrick Ewing, Bernard King, and Carmelo Anthony, all considered as legends of the franchise.

This season, Brunson is averaging 27.5 points on 47 percent shooting, 40 percent from beyond the arc, and 84 percent from the free throw line. He also made his first All-Star appearance as a reserve for the East.

Brunson’s rise as a the most important player in New York is truly astounding. With the playoffs coming soon, his legend in the franchise will soon be tested after making history recently.
