Michael Jordan Airballed A 3-Pointer At His Own Camp In Viral Video
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Bulls legend Michael Jordan found himself on the wrong end of the NBA internet today after old footage of his basketball camp resurfaced online. The video features Jordan taking shots in his camp... and air-balling an ugly 3-pointer in front of everyone to see.

There is no denying that it was an awful attempt and it's obvious that Michael hadn't taken a shot in quite some time at this point. In the video, you can hear the crowd visibly gasp when he air-balled the jumper and it might have even been embarrassing for anyone else -- but it's important to note that Jodan has never been rattled by failure. Coming into the league, and even during his peak Bulls days, he made plenty of costly mistakes and is a living example that no athlete, no matter how great, is perfect.

The video in question actually dates back several years ago, and it has already racked up thousands of views. Even at the time, fans were quick to troll the Bulls legend for his "rusty" form and now all of that has come back in force with the video back in circulation online.

It's understandable that Jordan, who has been retired for over 15 years, has fallen off a bit but it's still shocking to see such play from him after a career of excellence in the NBA. As some fans have pointed out, the subject hasn't come up randomly either.

This movement against Jordan all comes as part of an online smear campaign against him and 1990s basketball in general. With a growing movement dedicated to discrediting that era of the game, people are looking for any reason to discredit Jordan's status as the GOAT, and the resurfacing of this airball video is part of that campaign.

Then again it's not the first time that Jordan has been caught in such a position and it probably won't be the last. these days, Jordan is much more committed to the golf course than he is to the court.

Michael Jordan Airballed A Free Throw During Brandon Miller's Pre-Draft Workout

A 61-year-old, Michael Jordan isn't the same guy he used to be and that has become increasingly evident over the past few years. Besides airball a three-pointer during his own basketball camp, Jordan apparently also air-balled during Brandon Miller's pre-draft workout.

As the story goes, he and Jordan were going back and forth during a workout when the Bulls legend completely whiffed on a free throw attempt, a fact which Miller held over his head later on.

Of course, none of these are to mention Jordan's many mistakes during his playing days. While Michael is remembered for being a 6x champion, it took a while for him to find success at that level and he experienced many failures along the way.

Today, while Jordan is mostly a silent observer of the NBA, his legacy continues to live on through the fans he won over and the history he made on the path to greatness.

So while he was far from perfect, Michael was able to defeat all the obstacles in his path and he found a way to be victorious in the face of many challenges. Many top players today are using that example to follow in their own careers, to varying degrees of success.
