Look of the Day for Monday, March 18: Reaves to make some threes

We know you're frantically filling out dozens of brackets now that the NCAA Tournament field is official, but March Madness unfortunately doesn't get underway until Thursday. We have some time to kill before then, so let's start on Monday with our favorite prop bet from the NBA slate.

Look of the Day: Austin Reaves over 2.5 threes (+126 FanDuel)

Hawks vs. Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET

Ever since the calendar flipped to March, Austin Reaves has been a prolific sharpshooter for the Los Angeles Lakers. The shooting guard is averaging 7.1 three-point attempts and 3.6 makes over the last seven games. Those are much higher than his season averages of 5.0 attempts and 1.9 makes per game, meaning the Lakers want him to become a bigger contributor from the outside.

We don't see his three-point production dropping Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks rank 27th in the NBA in opponent three-pointers per game and 28th in opponent three-point percentage. They also give up the most points to opposing shooting guards and the seventh-most threes to the position.

This is an ideal matchup for Reaves to continue his hot shooting from deep. In his lone start against Atlanta earlier this season, the Oklahoma product put up 28 points and went 3-of-8 from beyond the arc. He's a much more confident (and higher-volume) shooter now than he was two months ago, too.
