Kendrick Perkins questions Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal’s credibility, claims they don’t watch basketball
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Exchanges between the experts of the game are not a new case in the NBA. Another such battle between sports analysts has just started. Former NBA center, Kendrick Perkins, who is often seen taking shots at players has chosen a slightly different path this time. The ESPN analyst took a jibe at Hall of Famers Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley for not doing their job right.

Kendrick Perkins is known for expressing his opinions without hesitation as he has accused Barkley and O’Neal of not watching basketball games. According to Perkins, the duo’s opinions on the New York Knicks are baseless as they do not watch the team play regularly.

It’s obviously they don’t watch basketball. I’m serious, they can’t watch basketball on a consistent basis. The only time they actually probably watch the Knicks are when they’re covering the Knicks on their game nights Kendrick Perkins via ESPN

Perkins who is an avid supporter of the Knicks disagreed with O’Neal and Charles Barkley‘s prediction on the team’s upcoming playoff season. The duo predicted that the second seed in the Eastern Conference will have an early exit in the postseason. Both former players who rarely agree with each other, chose the Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic to eliminate the Knicks.

The Knicks have played a fantastic season as they have a 50-32 record. The Villanova Wildcats trio has changed things in New York as the team is back as a championship contender.

Shaquille O’Neal had a hilarious response to Kendrick Perkins’ accusations

It was certain that Perkins would receive a strong comeback after his accusation. Shaquille O’Neal wasted no time and called out Perkins by pulling his classic move. Shaq who is often seen bickering with Barkley, switched sides in this situation. The legendary center simply reminded Perkins of the duo’s Hall of Fame membership after his accusation.

This was not enough as the veteran made a compilation of Perkins’ hilarious poor moments on the basketball court and posted it on his Instagram. It seems like the star will not let this go anytime soon. The exchange that currently seems like an unserious banter will certainly affect the audience’s attention on the Knicks.

Despite the Knicks not playing either Pacers or Magic in the first round, fans will look forward to their performance. However, the analysts’ give and take has surely brought a lot of entertainment for NBA fans. It would be interesting to see where this argument goes and who comes out victorious.
