Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss has been making the rounds, addressing some major questions surrounding her and the Lakers coming out of the last season and heading into the next.

Buss has spoken about several topics regarding the Lakers, how they will be heading into the next season, and what their aspirations are. She also spoke about one of the most influential people within the Lakers organization.

Jeanie Buss spoke about the power and influence of former Lakers star and current advisor Kurt Rambis.

She noted that she has heard the criticism, but did say that people seem to have forgotten what Rambis has accomplished in his career as a player and from an organizational standpoint. Buss added that Rambis has extensive knowledge of basketball, and that she respects his opinion.

“I know that there’s been some unfair criticism of Kurt Rambis. I want to remind people, he’s been involved in the NBA for close to 40 years, that he has been a part of championship teams both as a player and assistant coach, he is someone I admire for his basketball knowledge.”

Buss spoke about several other issues surrounding the Lakers, including their high wage bill and lack of playoff success, and the accusations of LeBron James and Klutch Sports making recruiting decisions for the Lakers.

Buss also addressed the future of their superstars like Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, and whether she would ever put the team up for sale.

Magic Johnson applauded Jeanie Buss for her courage and honesty when addressing these topics, noting that Buss is putting her foot down and sending a message to the rest of the organization.

Buss demands success from the Lakers and wants the team to return to championship contention next season. The Lakers have a lot of work ahead of them to fix their team and win championships again.
