USA TODAY Sports

Craig Sword is coming off a year where he played in the G League for the Capital City Go-Go.

Sword averaged 7.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 57.5% from the field 36.8% from the three-point range in 29 regular season games (he also appeared in 14 Showcase Cup games and two G League playoff games).

This summer, the 29-year-old was a free agent, and he has now signed with the Indiana Pacers

Via The Pacers: "INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers announced Tuesday they have signed forward Pedro Bradshaw and guard Craig Sword."

Sword initially went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft after four seasons of college basketball playing for Mississippi State.

He has played one season in the NBA for the Washington Wizards (2021-22) and averaged 2.0 points per contest in three games.

Over 196 regular season games in the G League, Sword has career averages of 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 48.8% from the field and 29.6% from the three-point range (he has also appeared in one Exhibition game, 28 Showcase Cup games and seven G League playoff games).

As for the Pacers, they are coming off a year where they were the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record.

They had a hot start to the season but fell off in the second half, so they missed the NBA playoffs for the third straight year.

That said, the Pacers have a talented roster led by All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton
