Hornets Waiving RJ Hunter, Nathan Mensah, Terrell Brown Jr.

The Hornets are waving shooting guard R.J. Hunter, center/forward Nathan Mensah and guard Terrell Brown Jr., per Rod Boone of the Charlotte Observer.

Hunter, 29, is 6-foot-5 and has appeared in a total of 45 games since 2015, serving two stints with the Celtics, as well as one each with the Bulls and Rockets. He carries an NBA career average of 3.0 points.

Mensah, 25, is 6-10 and went undrafted out of San Diego State, before signing on with Charlotte for Summer League. He signed a camp deal in early September.

Brown, 25, is 6-3 and went undrafted out of Washington in 2022. He spent most of last season with the Memphis Hustle of the G League.

Al three are likely headed to the Greensboro Swarm, the Hornets’ G League affiliate, and will be eligible for a bonus of up to $75,000 if they remain with the franchise for at least 60 days.
