Hornets’ Seth Curry Leaves Matchup vs. 76ers With Injury
USA Today

As the Philadelphia 76ers and the Charlotte Hornets battled it out on Friday night, the visitors lost a key member of their team as the sharpshooter Seth Curry went down with an injury.

During the fourth quarter, Curry went up for a rebound attempt in the paint. When he came down, he landed awkwardly, bending his ankle and causing him to fall to the ground.

Clearly in pain, Curry remained on the floor for a bit until he was helped up by a teammate. The veteran sharpshooter was escorted back to the locker room right away.

It’s unclear just how severe Curry’s injury is at this time, but he would not return to the court on Friday.

With a shorthanded lineup, missing several players such as LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller, the Hornets opted to start Curry for the first time this season.

Prior to going down with a setback, Curry spent nearly 23 minutes on the court. He put up eight shots from the field, with three of them coming from beyond the arc. The veteran struggled with his shot, knocking down just 25 percent of his attempts, scoring five points.

This season, Curry started the year off with the Dallas Mavericks. After spending 36 games in Dallas, Curry found himself involved in a deadline trade, which sent him packing to Charlotte. He made his Hornets debut on February 10 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Since suiting up for the Hornets for the first time, Curry appeared in all but one of their previous seven games leading up to Friday’s outing in Philly.

With the Hornets, Curry is averaging ten points on 32 percent shooting from deep. Friday’s game marked the fourth time Curry faced the 76ers since he last played for them in 2022.
