Hornets Part Ways with Veteran Guard
USA TODAY Sports

Back in late March, the Charlotte Hornets signed veteran guard Kobi Simmons to a two-way contract. Now, he's no longer a part of the organization as the team waived him Wednesday afternoon.

He spent the 2022-23 season with the Hornets' G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, averaging 18.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4 assists over 32 games. Simmons is currently the all-time scoring leader in Swarm history with 1,803 points in just three seasons.

He did get an opportunity late in the season with the NBA squad, appearing in five games and recording five points on 1/6 shooting. Five of those attempts came from beyond the arc.
