Jabari Parker was once among the top prospects in the entire NBA.

The former Duke star began his career as the second pick in the 2014 Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Unfortunately, Parker dealt with injuries and was never able to become an All-Star.

He most recently played in the NBA during the 2022 season with the Boston Celtics and averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.4% from the field in 12 games.

Parker had been a free agent, but on Monday Barça Basket announced that they have signed the 28-year-old.

Despite the injuries that Parker dealt with throughout his career, he still put up solid numbers.

With the Bucks (during his third season), Parker averaged an impressive 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 49.0% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported more details on Parker's deal with Barcelona.

Via Scotto: "Former No. 2 overall pick Jabari Parker has signed a one-year deal worth an estimated $2 million with Barcelona, @hoopshype has learned. Parker’s deal, which was negotiated by @PrioritySports, includes an NBA opt-out clause."

In addition to the Bucks and Celtics, Parker also spent time with the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls (over eight seasons).

His career averages are 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field and 32.6% from the three-point range in 310 regular season games (he has also appeared in 11 NBA playoff games).
