On Friday afternoon, the Delaware Blue Coats announced the acquisition of Darius Bazley from the Wisconsin Herd, the G-League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Bazley was originally drafted with the 23rd pick in the 2019 draft by the Utah Jazz, before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, and subsequently getting moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Oklahoma City is where Bazley would make a name for himself, appearing in 228 matches for the Thunder, averaging nine points per game, as well as recording five rebounds per game.

Following his three year stint in Oklahoma City, Bazley was traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Dario Saric and a second round draft pick, where he'd only manage to appear in seven games.

In this past off season, Bazley was picked up by the Brooklyn Nets, who he'd spend the summer with, appearing in three matches, including a preseason match against the Philadelphia 76ers where he'd put up eight points, including two makes from beyond the arch.

With Bazley standing at 6'8", he is certain to be a welcome addition for the Blue Coats, who find themselves rather light in the center department, with the only true center being Derek Culver, who they were without in their last outing against the Maine Celtics.

The defending G-League champions exchanged a 2024 first-round G League draft pick for the 23-year-old.

It's not known when Bazley will be available for the Blue Coats, with their next match taking place on Saturday night against the Greensboro Swarm, set for tip-off at 6:00 p.m. EST.
