Cleveland Cavaliers Player Leaves NBA For Europe
USA TODAY Sports

Raul Neto is coming off a year where he played for the  Cleveland Cavaliers and averaged 3.3 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 51.8% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range in 48 regular season games (he also appeared in two NBA playoff games).

This summer, the veteran guard became a free agent, and he has now signed with Fenerbahçe Beko (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).

In addition to the Cavs, Neto (who was the 47th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft) has also played for the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers.

He has career averages of 5.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 36.1% from the three-point range in 435 regular season games (he has also appeared in 29 NBA playoff games).

Neto played the first four seasons of his career with Utah, one for Philadelphia, two for Washington and one for Cleveland.

Arguably the best year of his career came with the Wizards (in 2021) when he averaged 8.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range.

As for the Cavs, they are coming off a year where they went 51-31 and finished as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season but lost to the New York Knicks in the first round in five games.
