Bradley Beal says he is 'antsy' to play on Suns super-team

It's a different world for Bradley Beal now that he's a member of the re-worked Phoenix Suns.

For the first time in years, Beal isn't the No. 1 option on his team. He was the top dog for the Washington Wizards arguably since he was drafted by the franchise third overall in 2012, but will now play third fiddle to Devin Booker and Kevin Durant — making up one potent part of the NBA's newest super-team.

"Good luck with that, right?" Beal said in his introductory press conference when discussing the challenges defenses will have with the Suns' offense (h/t ESPN). "I get antsy just thinking about it because I haven't had those opportunities and it's the same with the other two guys and DA (Deandre Ayton)."

Everything in Phoenix will run through Booker, the homegrown star who averaged 27.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists last season.

"Understand that this is 'Book Nation.' I understand that this is his stomping grounds, this is his arena and I'm excited for that," Beal said of Booker.

Defenses devoting too much attention to Booker will suffer the wrath of Durant, though. He is one of the greatest scorers of all time and a certified future Hall of Famer. Durant averaged 29.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5 assists last season, with most of his games coming before the Brooklyn Nets traded him to Phoenix. In eight games with Phoenix, he averaged 26 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

The presence of Booker and Durant makes Beal arguably the best No. 3 option in the NBA. It also gives him an opportunity to work on different parts of his game.

"You can go guard Devin and K tonight and I can chill a little bit and not face so many double-teams. A little bit more open shots. I can work on my catch-and-shoot a little bit more," Beal explained.

Last season, Beal averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists for the Wizards.
