After the race, Buescher talked about being declared the winner at first before replay review showed otherwise. “I still can’t say. I guess tear it apart. It was a great finish for us, a really strong day. A lot of speed in this CASTROL Edge Ford Mustang. We really needed that. Needed a win more. I thought we might have had that one. Had a lot of speed there, firing off we were really good. And really all day. Really proud of that and had some good strategy to get us back up there. Tried to cover what I could and gave him half a lane too much, I suppose. But good, hard race right there down to the line. Yeah, just that hurts.”

Kyle Larson is having a strong 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season

Larson is having a strong 2024 Cup Series season. Along with winning on Sunday, Larson finished second in the Dover race last week. He won the race in Las Vegas in the third week of the year and recorded top-five finishes in three additional races.

Later this month, Larson will compete in the Indianapolis 500. In April, the 31-year-old spoke to reporters about testing for the race.

“It felt good. Just good to get laps and get in some traffic, and to visually see what that looked like, to feel the runs and the dirty air a little bit,” Larson said, per Motorsports Wire. “I feel like I learned quite a bit there and still have a lot to learn. It’s been a good morning so far. By yourself, [the car] has a lot of grip. In traffic, it was good. The first time I got in traffic, the balance felt normal. I didn’t feel like I went into a big transition from clean air to dirty air, but the last time, I was super tight. It was good to experience to feel what that felt like.”
