Watch: Conor McGregor announces plans for 2024 return

Conor McGregor announced on Sunday that he is returning for a 2024 fight against Michael Chandler at 185 pounds. The fight, which is scheduled for June 29 in Las Vegas, will be McGregor's first UFC bout since he lost to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout in July 2021.

According to The Action Network, the early line at DraftKings has McGregor installed at -115 to win, while Chandler is listed at -105 to win.

While UFC has not yet officially announced the fight, McGregor broke the news himself in a video posted on X.

Chandler offered his own statement on Twitter and seemed to be excited at the possibility of facing McGregor at the 185-pound weight class.

At his peak McGregor was the biggest name and biggest draw in MMA. He owns a 22-6 career record and has been a featherweight and lightweight champion. But he had started to rapidly decline in recent years, losing three of his past four matches. In his last loss to Poirier he broke his leg, resulting in a lengthy rehab and his hiatus from the octagon.

Chandler owns a 23-8 record in his career, but has also dropped three of his past four decisions.
