Watch: Brian Ortega loses to Yair Rodriguez after his shoulder pops out during first round

Brian Ortega suffered a seriously unfortunate defeat to Yair Rodriguez on UFC Fight Night.

Ortega vs Rodriguez was the main event on the card, the fight that all in attendance and everyone else watching on PPV were desperately looking forward to watching.

However, ultimately, it was a monumental anti-climax, with Rodriguez securing a TKO victory in the first round after Ortega’s shoulder popped up and left him unable to fight.

All due respect to Rodriguez, it was not really a reward for his skills in the octagon or a particularly good first-round performance, it was a freak accident.

You could hear the disappointment from the commentary team after the fight was stopped prematurely. We hope that a rematch will be in the works in due course…
