Former UFC interim title challenger Ovince Saint-Preux has been suspended for six months by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for testing positive for a banned substance.
ESPN's Marc Raimondi was among the first to report the news of Saint-Preux's infraction.
UFC's Ovince Saint Preux has been suspended six months by USADA for his second violation of the UFC anti-doping policy. More coming to @espnmma.

According to USADA, Saint-Preux tested positive for 1-Androstenedione, a steroid hormone found in one of his supplements. Saint-Preux provided the supplement to USADA's testing facility in Salt Lake City, UT.
Saint-Preux's self-reported supplement resulted in a reduction to his suspension after proving the positive test was due to a contaminated product. It's a similar circumstance to UFC flyweight Cortney Casey's suspension, as reported last week.
Saint-Preux's suspension is retroactive to June 17th, meaning he could potentially return by the end of the year. He hasn't fought since a first-round loss to Philipe Lins back in February.
Saint-Preux hasn't been able to recapture his earlier success in the UFC over his past few performances. He has lost four of his last five fights; with the lone exception being a controversial split decision win over Shogun Rua at UFC 274.
As of this writing, Saint-Preux doesn't have a fight in the works for his return, and the 40-year-old remains sidelined after this recent USADA violation.
