UFC Lightweight Calls Out Promotion For Trying To Build A 'New Yoel Romero' With UFC 299 Mismatch: 'That's A Way For The Cuban Guy To Beat Up A Fat Motherf***er!'

Renato Moicano recently weighed in on Robelis Despaigne's upcoming debut at UFC 299.

An Olympic bronze medalist in taekwondo, Despaigne has already turned some heads thanks to his imposing size and explosive kicks. At UFC 299, he will meet Josh Parisian as part of the early prelims.

For "Money" Moicano, it appears that the UFC may be seeking to push Despaigne in a similar fashion to how they pushed Cuban Olympic silver medalist in wrestling Yoel Romero during his time in the promotion.

"UFC, I know what you're trying to make here, my brother," Moicano said. "I know you're trying to build up a new Yoel Romero; Cuban medalist, but this time from taekwondo, 35 years old, old as hell to get in UFC, 4-0. But I advise you to look into his record, 4-0, only fought guys with no fights... People are trying to push him, and I saw a little bit of his videos, of course he's a taekwondo medalist, Olympic champion, so he's going to be good with the kicks, but, if you see his hands on the videos, very bad hands."

'This Guy Is Not UFC Level' - Moicano On UFC 299 Debutant Despaigne

Moicano went on to call into question Josh Parisian's credibility in regards to the high standard set within the UFC.

"Money" suggested that Parisian is essentially being used as a tomato can for Despaigne's Octagon debut.

"The problem is, Josh Parisian, even though he has a lot of fights in the UFC, his hands are even worse," Moicano said. "Brother, let me tell you something, this guy is a completely mess [sic]. I don't want to s**t on him, I know he's a UFC fighter, and as a heavyweight and this and that. Let me be honest with you, this guy is not UFC level, and you can see why they are matching up the fight. That's a way for the Cuban guy to beat up a fat motherf***er and that's the way they are doing, you know."
