Paul "The Irish Dragon" Felder has successfully re-entered the USADA testing pool. The 39-year-old slugger has already provided one sample and undergone a single test, as per the latest information on USADA's website.

Since he's coming out of retirement, Felder will need to provide two clean tests, or wait in the testing pool for six months before competing, according to USADA's athlete handbook.

Felder, who retired quietly in November 2020, concluded his UFC career with a two-fight losing streak. This included a closely contested split decision loss to Dan Hooker and a sound defeat against Rafael Dos Anjos, a match he took on just four days' notice.

As far back as November 2021, Felder was outlining scenarios that would bring him out of retirement, such as big money fights against the likes of McGregor, and the comradery of fighting alongside fellow Philadelphia natives such as Andre Petroski and Pat Sabatini.

In the end, it was "The Korean Zombie's" fantastic retirement at UFC Fight Night 225 that prompted Felder to unretire. "Can't get that main event out of my mind," Felder remarked on X, as if "The Irish Dragon" hadn't gotten the send-off he deserved.

Days later, the UFC panel would announce Felder's re-entry into the testing pool. Now he's officially been tested, a timeframe is starting to materialize for Felder's return. His return opponent remains a mystery. Could it potentially be Renato Moicano, Jalin Turner, or even a second bout with RDA? Only time will reveal the answer.
