Paul Felder Reveals Opponent He Does Not Want To Fight In UFC Return
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Fight fans have been buzzing at the news that Paul Felder would be coming out of retirement for one last run. While there are plenty of options for his return fight, there is one opponent that he is certainly uninterested in.

Felder has certainly dealt with no shortage of work since deciding to retire from MMA in 2020, after losing a split decision to Rafael dos Anjos. He has continued his burgeoning career as a UFC broadcaster, making regular appearances in the booth for various Fight Night cards.

Paul Felder Turns Down Shavkat Rakhmonov

After being moved by the recent exciting retirements of UFC legends Robbie Lawler and "The Korean Zombie," Paul Felder recently made the announcement that he is interested in making a return to the Octagon. This was backed up by him entering the USADA drug testing pool shortly after, officially kicking off the process of a UFC comeback.

While there are plenty of options out there for Felder to take on, whether he decides to return at lightweight or welterweight, but there seems to be one name he is not interested in. When a fan suggested on Twitter that "The Irish Dragon" face off against red hot prospect Shavkat Rakhmonov, he was quick to politely decline the potential matchup.

"I speak for everyone when I say we want @Rakhmonov1994 vs @felderpaul ‼️" the fan wrote.

"No thank you!" Felder responded.

With Shavkat Rakhmonov sitting at an undefeated record of 17-0, with only finishes, it is certainly understandable why Paul Felder may not be interested in facing such a tough young fighter in his return. That being said, it will be interesting to see how he is matched up, once that return is made official by the UFC.
