Nate Landwehr says Darren Elkins’ blood was in his mouth during fight

Darren Elkins got bloodied badly in a loss to Nate Landwehr at UFC Fight Night 37 on Saturday night in Jacksonville, Florida.

Elkins suffered his fourth straight defeat when he lost via decision to Landwehr to fall to 24-9 in his pro MMA career. Both he and Lundwehr got bloodied in the fight, but this photo shows just how bad it was for Elkins.

Elkins got cut by an elbow in the second round and began bleeding pretty badly.

“The blood was in my mouth. I was trying to spit it out,” Landwehr said after the fight. “Man, that was a good one.”

Landwehr was even putting on a show.

If blood grosses you out, then MMA is not for you. But for many fans and fighters, this is what they live for.
