Kevin Holland replacing Darren Till to fight Jack Hermansson on Dec. 5 UFC show

Darren Till won't be fighting on the Dec. 5 UFC show, after all.

Till has withdrawn from the card because of an undisclosed injury and, according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN, has been replaced by Kevin Holland (20-5) to fight Jack Hermansson (21-5) in a middleweight clash.

Hermansson, currently No. 4 in the official UFC rankings for the division, defeated Kelvin Gastelum in July and was hoping a win over Till or a different ranked opponent would catapult him into the title picture. Okamoto is reporting, however, that multiple fighters in the Top 10 declined to fight Hermansson on short notice and before the end of the year.

Holland may be unranked, but the 28-year-old will enter Dec. 5 on a four-match winning streak, with each of those victories coming in 2020. He defeated Charlie Ontiveros by first-round submission on Halloween and is attempting to become the first middleweight in UFC history to win five fights under the promotion's umbrella in the same calendar year.

The Dec. 5 show is occurring at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and will take place behind closed doors and without spectators, as has been the case throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
