Alexander Gustafsson (pictured) and his team recently released a Harlem Shake video that featured his friends holding up signs that read ”Jon Jones You Are Next.” After Jones steamrolled Chael Sonnen at UFC 159 on Saturday, “Bones” said he’s more than willing to oblige. However, Jones is the division’s reigning king. So Gustafsson is the one who would be “next.” UFC president Dana White previously promised Lyoto Machida next dibs at Jones’ crown after beating Dan Henderson in February. However, White did the same thing when “The Dragon” put Ryan Bader to sleep only to do an about-face shortly after. Therefore, it wouldn’t be a total shocker if White changed course once again, particularly since Jones already submitted Machida in December 2011 and his biggest mainstream superstar is requesting fresh meat. “I fought Lyoto Machida before,” Jones stated at the post-fight press conference. “And I fight for the love of the sport, I fight for the people that support me, but I also fight to prove my critics wrong. So, a lot of people believe I’ve been successful because I appear to be larger than my opponents, and with Alexander Gustafsson, that would be no more. “So fighting Alexander Gustafsson – a guy who’s six feet six or six feet five, pretty long arms himself, pretty long legs – I think that would be a great thing and that’s who I would love to fight next.” Unfortunately, there’s a big problem for the two. Jones broke the big toe on his left foot during his assault on Sonnen so he could be riding the pine for quite some time. Jones tied UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz for the most successful light heavyweight title defenses in Octagon history with his destruction of Sonnen. The 25-year-old will be in a class all his own if he’s able to retain his crown one more time – some believe Jones already is. Gustafsson was slated to fight Gegard Mousasi earlier this month, but was pulled at the 11th hour after suffering a gash underneath his left eyebrow. “The Mauler” has rattled off six straight wins, with his most recent coming in December’s thrashing over former champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Chael Sonnen proved timing is everything in the UFC on Saturday night.
In fact, a mere 27 seconds was the difference between a "shock the world" moment and what is now a likely retirement for the bombastic fan favorite.

Jon Jones ended the night in a stool, the victim of one of the several odd injuries at UFC 159.
Fortunately for Jones, he was smiling through the pain with the UFC light heavyweight belt secured to his waist after a first-round TKO victory over Chael Sonnen at Prudential Center early Sunday morning.
Jones appeared to have dislocated the big toe on his left foot.
UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones demolished Chael Sonnen by first-round TKO at UFC 159 in Newark, N.J. on Saturday…
There has been so talk about this fight and a lot of trash talk. Mostly coming from the Sonnen camp, Chael is a throwback to P.T. Barnum, he is a barker who promotes himself very well. The big question on everyone’s mind is: Can Chael back up his boastful statements and actually beat the Light Heavyweight Champion in the form of Jon “Bones” Jones?... Read more

Jon Jones had to climb the UFC ranks just like any other young up and comer. We tend to forget that he had seven dominant showings before being rewarded with his title shot against Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua. It was a different kind of climb though. Before the Tonight Show appearance, the Rashad Evans soap opera, and the eventual culmination into a Nike sponsorship - this was...
UFC 159 headliner Chael Sonnen stated in an interview yesterday that WWE star CM Punk will be in his locker room prior to his UFC 159 fight with Jon Jones. Here is what he said and video of the interview…
“He will be here Saturday. He will be in the locker room. I don’t believe he will be part of the walk-out, but he’s welcome to.

Sure, things did get a little messy this past weekend in Jersey. However, three fighters did stand out about the rest in terms of performance, and ultraviolence. Let's start from the top. 1st Star - Pat 'Bam Bam' Healy ...
