'If Miller Isn't On UFC 300, I'm Not Watching' - Jim Miller Keeps Dream Alive With Fight Night Submission, Calls Out Paul Felder
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Next stop: UFC 300? Next stop: Paul Felder?

Just three months before the UFC's historic pay-per-view event, Miller competed in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs. Walker 2, scoring a third-round submission victory over Gabriel Benitez.

Miller and Benitez traded plenty of combinations and inside strikes from the get-go, with the former landing the better kicks in the opening frame. Miller then scored a pair of takedowns over the next couple of rounds. While he was unable to lock in the choke in frame two, he secured it late in the third to get the finish.

Following the match, Miller called out Paul Felder for a potential "fun" showdown at UFC 300. He followed it up with Matt Brown and (comedically) Brock Lesnar as other dream opponents.

Miller entered this bout with four wins in his last five, most recently knocking out Jesse Butler in 23 seconds at a UFC Fight Night card last June.

Benitez, meanwhile, had won just two of his last six before tonight's bout but entered off a first-round finish over Charlie Ontiveros at UFC San Diego in August 2022.
