'Bro Built Like A Videogame Character' - MMA Fans React To Difference In Physique Of UFC vs. PFL Version Of Derek Brunson
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The latest signing to the PFL from the UFC is set to debut this Friday at the PFL World Championships.

Middleweight veteran Derek Brunson has fought the best to ever do it at 185-pounds before making his way over to his new home.

He is now set to face 2019 PFL welterweight winner Ray Cooper III on his promotional debut but there is something different about Brunson this time around.

After the PFL released promotional images of "Blonde Brunson" decked out in the promotion's gear, fans took notice of his improved looking physique.

When pictured side-by-side with a recent photo of him for a UFC fight week, it doesn't take a game of spot the difference to tell that one version looks significantly better than the other.

MMA Fans React To Derek Brunson Comparison With Testing vs Lighting Debate

MMAUncensored posted the comparison photo on Instagram with the fans being split down the middle in the comments.

Some fans simply reacted to the visual of how he looks in the PFL and the shape that Brunson is currently in.

"Bro built like a videogame character"

"Looks like PFL is paying better so @derekbrunson can eat steak everyday"

A lot of the comments, however, seemed split down the middle.

Whilst some fans questioned the difference in testing between the two promotions, others pointed out a much more obvious difference in the images.

With improved lighting and some suggesting that oil was used to make him look more defined, you can clearly see that side of the argument when drawing comparisons between the two.

"Couldn’t honestly just be a bit of him doing more weights and better lighting"

"Dudes looking way more jacked! No usada at pfl? :p"

"More like perfect lighting vs white exposed background"

It's safe to say that with the images next to one another, it certainly looks like Brunson has always been in great shape and a bit of lighting and oil could easily make that more defined.
