The New York Yankees are suddenly one of the hottest teams in baseball, having won five games in a row.
The streak is likely too little too late for a playoff push, but fans in the Bronx have at least one reason to continue to tune into the remaining 23 games of the season.
Recently promoted top prospect Jasson Dominguez is off to an historic start to his career.
Jasson Domínguez of the @Yankees has played 5 career games. In all 5 of them he has:

Last night, Jasson Domínguez homered for the 3rd time in his 5th career game.

With a core of MVP right fielder Aaron Judge, Dominguez (a centerfielder) and shortstop Anthony Volpe, the Yankees offense has the potential to revert back to typical Bronx Bombers form in 2024 and beyond.
Though Judge has been limited to 85 games this year, he's still been the best hitter on the team, pacing the squad in home runs (31), walks (66), on-base percentage (.397), slugging percentage (.622) and OPS (1.019), while ranking second in runs scored (66) and RBI (58). Volpe has had an up and down rookie season with an underwhelming .215/.293/.401 slash line, but his counting stats have been impressive, including 20 home runs and a team-high 22 stolen bases. When he hit his 20th long ball last week, Volpe became the first rookie in franchise history to post a 20-20 season.
Dominguez won't turn 21 until February but has already had an immense impact on the team.
"The Martian" made his first start on Friday night against the rival-Houston Astros, on the road, and in his first major league at-bat hit an opposite-field home run (on his first swing) off of future Hall-of-Famer Justin Verlander.
Baseball fans in New York haven't had much to cheer about this summer, but Dominguez should continue to provide glimpses of what excitement is to come for the Yankees.
