'X' marks the spot for this MLB prop parlay

The U.S. Open tees off today, so be sure to check yesterday's Bark Bets for a more in-depth preview of all the action there. As for some fresh bets, we'll head to the diamond and load up a modest prop parlay of a few players who seem poised to produce.

Three-leg prop parlay for tonight in MLB

Together, these three come in at +138 on FanDuel. Nothing crazy, just a few simple props that this trio seems well-positioned to deliver on.

First leg: Sonny Gray 5+ Ks

Sonny Gray of Minnesota will face off against the Tigers tonight, a team striking out at the seventh-highest rate against right-handed pitching this season. They also seriously struggle to hit righties, which should give Gray some breathing room to pitch deep into this one.

Gray's line is 6.5, but we're moving him down to 5+ on FanDuel, a number that feels far more attainable based on his recent production. Gray has hit 5+ strikeouts in nine of 13 starts this season, including six of seven at home.

In his past two outings against the Tigers, Gray finished with 10 and seven Ks, while 11 of the past 12 starting RHPs to see Detroit have finished with at least five strikeouts.

Second leg: Corey Seager 1+ hit

Seager (Texas) should be good for a base knock today. He's had some nice success against Shohei Ohtani, hitting .600 against the Angels star in eight plate appearances.

Seager has a hit in 81% of his games this season, 2.2 per game over his last five, and has a hit in 15 of his last 18 games against the Angels.

Third leg: Xander Bogaerts 1+ hit

San Diego's Bogaerts wraps up our look here. Bogaerts comes into this one on a five-game hitting streak and has himself 1+ hit in 71% of his games this year.

While he has never faced off against Cleveland starter Logan Allen, that shouldn't be an issue. Allen has been quite generous to batters, allowing 7+ hits in six of his last seven starts. Should the Padres push Allen out of the game, Bogaerts is likely to see some familiar faces out of the pen. The San Diego slugger has a hit in six straight games against Cleveland, tallying nine total.

Again, this bet can be found on FanDuel at +138 — good luck tonight!

In the news ...

Wizards discussing trade scenarios with Bradley Beal — According to a report from Shams Charania, Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards have an understanding in place that they'll work together to find a trade partner for Beal should the team's new management decide to rebuild the roster. It seems likely that Washington does go that route, opening up some exciting hypotheticals for the three-time All-Star guard. The Heat and Sixers have emerged as two potential landing spots for Beal. Any movement will drastically alter the futures market, so keep your ear to the ground on the rumor mill.

Diggs' drama seems to dissipate — In the dead period of NFL news, we tend to jump at any inkling of news, and that appears to be what happened with the rumored "holdout" brewing for Bills star WR Stefon Diggs. Well, that does not seem to be the case after all. Diggs was in attendance at Buffalo's facilities on Wednesday, and head coach Sean McDermott said the issue has been resolved. The Bills are +900 to win the Super Bowl this season, behind the Chiefs and Eagles.

Astros lose Lance McCullers for season — Starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. underwent forearm surgery Tuesday, ending his season before it began. This and the loss of Luis Garcia to Tommy John have caused Houston to lose two of its projected five starters for the season. Houston has maintained solid pitching but may find it hard to repeat as champs with these losses. The Astros currently sit at 39-29, fourth in the AL, and have the fourth-best odds to win the World Series at +700.
