Fortunately, Garrett took to Twitter late Monday night indicating that he was fine.

The lefty entered the contest in the top of the seventh following Kansas City's eight-run eruption in the bottom of the sixth and immediately struck out Elvis Andrus. When Garrett walked behind the mound and went into a squatting position, broadcasters initially speculated that Garrett may have injured his oblique, but that was certainly not the case.

The 31-year-old is in his second season with the Royals after spending the first five years of his career with the Cincinnati Reds. Garrett was traded to Kansas City in March 2022 in exchange for one-time All-Star Mike Minor and cash.

Garrett leads the Royals in games pitched (16) this season and has a 3.68 ERA and 1.70 WHIP with 14 strikeouts across 14 2/3 innings thus far.

Having only thrown six pitches during Monday's 12-5 win, Garrett would presumably be available for work again during Tuesday's game if needed, as long as his stomach is up for it.
