Overall, the Milwaukee Brewers had a disappointing weekend in Chicago. During the three-game series, the Brewers lost by a single run in each of the first two games before securing a victory in Sunday’s finale. On Sunday, Keston Hiura was the star of the game as he hit two home runs.

As seen above, in Sunday’s game Hiura took southpaw Brandon Hughes and righty hurler Kervin Castro deep. Hiura now has 12 home runs this season. Nine of his home runs have come against right-handed pitchers and three off of lefties.

So far this season, Hiura has totaled 146 at-bats over 52 games. Meaning, he is averaging a home run about once every 12 at-bats. The biggest obstacle with Hiura this year has been getting him into the lineup consistently.

With that being said, Hiura has played in each of the last five Brewer games. It does seem like Craig Counsell has been playing him a bit more consistently since re-joining the team in early August. As he continues to change games with his bat, it is getting more difficult to justify why he is not in the lineup every day.
