Watch: Amir Garrett has funny way of avoiding confrontation with Kyle Schwarber
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

When we last saw Amir Garrett, he was literally leading the charge in a Cincinnati Reds fight with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Reds reliever seems to have learned his lesson and no longer wants the smoke.

Garrett struck out Kyle Schwarber to end the ninth inning and keep the Reds-Chicago Cubs game tied on Wednesday night. Garrett was pumped up about getting the K and celebrated. Schwarber seemed to be irritated and tried to say something to Garrett about it, but he received no response from the pitcher, who darted off the field and into the dugout.

That was comical. The man has learned!

Garrett has a 3.23 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 53 innings this season in what’s been the best year of his career. And now Garrett has proven Joe Musgrove wrong.
