Todd Frazier responds to Jake Arrieta, rips umpire for not ejecting pitcher

Both benches were warned after this incident, yet two batters later Arrieta hit Amed Rosario as well, but was not ejected. Instead, Mets manager Mickey Callaway was ejected after he came out onto the field to protest.

After the game, Arrieta further escalated things when he said Frazier “can come see me” and that he’d “put a dent in his skull,” per Matt Gelb of The Athletic.

On Sunday Morning, Frazier was approached by members of the media about the whole thing. He said, “I’m just sick of being hit.”

He brushed off Arrieta’s comment, saying, “He can say what he wants, uh, a little overboard but, uh, you gotta keep playing.”

Frazier seemed more upset by the way the umpire handled the situation. He was frustrated that Arrieta wasn’t ejected after plunking Rosario two batters later.

“When an umpire makes a decision to warn both benches, and he doesn’t come through with it, don’t warn benches then.”

Chances are, this is far from over.
