Tim Anderson goes on social media rant after on-field scrap with Jose Ramirez

Chicago White Sox's shortstop Tim Anderson was in his feelings following his fisticuffs with Cleveland Guardians second baseman Jose Ramirez, tweeting through it in a social media rant Sunday night.

Anderson's series of Tweets covered a lot of ground. From, "You know this is all happening for a reason." To "keep kicking on me while I'm down."

A few of Anderson's comments seem aimed at those poking fun at him after being KO'd by Ramirez on Saturday. However, several now-deleted Tweets contained more sinister language.

"We ain't never tripping... this s--- bigger!" Anderson Tweeted. "We gone catch up with em' later."

In another post, Anderson hinted that his beef with Ramirez goes deeper than Saturday's altercation, saying, "he got off me we ain't tripping about that... this s--- bigger."

What Anderson meant is anyone's guess, but whatever the motive, he felt the need to rid those particular thoughts from his timeline.

While Anderson has been outspoken about the incident, even cryptically, Ramirez didn't mince words when discussing his feelings.

"I think he's been disrespecting the game for a while now. It's not from just today," Ramirez said via Bally Sports Cleveland. "As the play happened, he tagged me again really hard, and then he wanted to fight so I defended myself."

The run-in between Anderson and Ramirez spilled into a bench-clearing Donnybrook at Guaranteed Rate Field, resulting in six ejections. There will undoubtedly be suspensions handed out on both sides, but we'll have to wait and see if the war of words afterward impacts the punishments for Anderson and Ramirez.
