Three rising stars for the Milwaukee Brewers

With spring training underway, each MLB team is filled with hope for a World Series title and fresh faces are ready to make a name for themselves in the majors.

After winning the National League Central division in 2023, the Milwaukee Brewers will look to repeat that performance in 2024.

Here are three rising stars looking to make an impact for the Brewers in 2024.

Jackson Chourio, outfielder

2023 MILB stats: .282/.338/.467, 22 home runs, 91 RBI and 44 stolen bases in 128 games played

Despite not making his MLB debut yet, 19-year-old Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio inked a historic eight-year deal worth $82M guaranteed with the possibility to expand to a 10-year, $130M deal if the two club options are exercised.

The No. 2 overall prospect in baseball, according to MLB.com, Chourio slashed .282/.338/.467 with 51 extra-base hits and 91 RBI, including 44 stolen bases in 128 games played across two minor league levels at 18 years old.

Expected to be the everyday center fielder in Milwaukee from Day 1 of the 2024 season, Chourio has shown he can handle MLB pitching by currently slashing .304/.360/.435 with three doubles and five runs scored in 23 at-bats this spring.

Chourio will be one of the front-runners for the National League Rookie of the Year award heading into the season as he starts his promising career.

DL Hall, pitcher

2023 MLB stats: 3-0, 3.26 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched

The big piece of the trade that sent former Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Corbin Burnes to the Baltimore Orioles, Brewers pitcher DL Hall is primed to be a dominant lefty in the rotation or bullpen in 2024.

Going 3-0 with a 3.26 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched for the Orioles last season, Hall shows shades of former Brewers closer Josh Hader on the mound.

Possessing a fastball that averages 96 mph, a wicked slider and a changeup good enough to keep hitters off balance, the 25-year-old has all the tools to be one of baseball's biggest breakout stars in 2024.

While he will be given every chance to stick in the rotation, workload concerns could push the left-hander to the bullpen.

With his arsenal, Hall should have no problem excelling in either role for the Brewers.

Jacob Misiorowski, pitcher

2023 MILB stats: 4-2, 3.41 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 110 strikeouts in 71.1 innings pitched

Owner of the most lethal pitch arsenal in the minor leagues, Brewers pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski has all of the potential in the world to be the next big thing in Milwaukee.

Drafted in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft, the 21-year-old right-hander blew the competition across three minor league levels in 2023 despite a rough stretch in Double-A.

Striking out 110 batters in only 71.1 innings, the 6-foot-7 Misiorowski is on the fast track to the majors.

While he might not make it to the MLB this season, he figures to be a key member of the Brewers' future plans and a cornerstone for the franchise to build around.
