Even a casual baseball fan could tell you that Shohei Ohtani is good. Just about anybody around the sports world knows that much.
The extent of just how good Ohtani really is, though? Well, sometimes — especially in baseball — numbers tell a better story than any amount of words could.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Well, check out this picture and prepare to be amazed:

No, this isn't an April Fools' Day joke. We're barely in September, for Pete's sake. A quick look at L.A.'s ESPN stats page confirms that this isn't some sort of deep-fake.
This is the real deal, as is Ohtani.
At the time of this writing, Ohtani leads the Angels in batting average (.270), home runs (32), RBI (85), OBP (.360) and hits (130).
That's impressive enough from an offensive perspective, but let's not forget that Ohtani can absolutely deal on the mound.
With that in mind, he also leads L.A. in wins (11), ERA (2.58) and strikeouts (181). If he wasn't a starting pitcher, he'd probably lead the Angeles in saves and holds as well, but alas, Ohtani can't do everything.
He's truly incredible, and the numbers don't lie.
