Ryan Yarbrough Highly Compliments New Dodgers Teammate at DodgerFest
USA TODAY Sports

After signing the best player in the league, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers could've packed it up and gone home. However, after a disappointing 2023 season, the Dodgers weren't nearly done.

A couple of days after officially signing Ohtani, the Dodgers traded for one of the best pitchers in the league, Tyler Glasnow. The Dodgers went from lacking pitching to having one of the best pitching staffs in the league. It was a quick turnaround from a team aiming to win title number eight.

The Dodgers are familiar with Glasnow and his pitching prowess from facing him during the 2020 World Series. However, we'll now get a chance to see him every fifth day or so. His stuff is extraordinary, but no one knows better than his teammate Ryan Yarbrough.

In an interview with Dodgers Nation's J.P. Hoornstra, Yarbough gave us a preview of what to expect from Glasnow.

Yarbrough and Glasnow were teammates for five seasons from 2018-2022 with the Tampa Bay Rays. They are back together in Los Angeles, and we can't wait to see Glasnow on the mound donning Dodger blue.

Glasnow's fastball, slider and curveball are filthy, and batters hardly know what passes them by. He's among the best in the league when healthy, and we hope that remains true in Los Angeles.

He will undoubtedly bolster the L.A. rotation and play a key part in making a deep run in October. Glasnow was brought here for October; nonetheless, we can't wait to see him make opposing batters look foolish on the mound.
