Per Deaver, current Special Teams Coordinator Tyler Wright is being moved into a new role at NMSU.

Special teams was something of a strong point for the Aggies on their way to a ten-win season and an appearance in the league title game. In 2023, New Mexico State led Conference USA in made field goals with 19, as well as touchbacks with 51.

Sanchez is expected to be formally introduced as the program's newest head coach sometime next week.
