After four solid seasons with the Kansas City Royals, Hunter Dozier isn't going anywhere.
According to FanSided's Robert Murray, the Royals are finalizing a four-year deal with the third baseman. The deal includes a club option.
Hunter Dozier and the Kansas City Royals are finalizing a four-year contract extension with a club option, according to sources familiar with the situation. The deal would buy out three years of arbitration and one year of free agency.

During the pandemic-shortened season, Dozier hit .228/.344/.392 with six home runs and 12 RBI. He had his best season in 2019, slashing 279/.348/.522 with a career-high 26 homers and 84 RBI.
The Royals have been busy this offseason after a disappointing 2020 campaign. Kansas City has signed Carlos Santana and Mike Minor to multiyear deals and also acquired Andrew Benintendi from the Boston Red Sox.
