Longtime Cincinnati sports fan Adam Wilson has passed away. The Sycamore High School graduate helped create Major League Baseball's Lou Gehrig Day, which was founded to support the ALS community.
Wilson was diagnosed with ALS in 2015. .
"Our hearts are broken hearing about the passing of ALS research advocate and Reds fan Adam Wilson," the Reds said, in a statement. "Adam played a key role in creating and inspiring MLB’s annual Lou Gehrig Day to support the ALS community. Our thoughts are with his family and friends."
Wilson was 41 years old.
