Back on December 19 and December 21, the Cleveland Guardians announced two groups of confirmed attendees for the 2024 Guards Fest.

Now, even more 40-man roster players have been added to this list.

On Saturday, the Guardians announced eight more confirmed attendees for the event, which is two weeks away.

Here is a breakdown of the latest list of players who will be at the 2024 Guards Fest.

Josh Naylor

Josh Naylor had the best season of his career last year.

The 2023 James “Tip” O’Neill Award winner recorded career-highs in batting average (.308), hits (139), RBI (97), doubles (31), on-base percentage (.354), slugging percentage (.489), and OPS (.843), while adding 17 home runs.

The 26-year-old first baseman also became just the fourth player in Cleveland history to hit at least .305 with at least 95 RBI in a season in 125-or-fewer games played.

Bo Naylor

MLB.com recently named Bo Naylor the Guardians’ most likely breakout star for the 2024 season.

In the final 28 games of the 2023 season, the 23-year-old catcher was one of the premier players in MLB, as his 1.113 OPS in this span led the American League (minimum 90 plate appearances).

Overall, he hit .237 with 47 hits, 13 doubles, 11 home runs, 32 RBI, five stolen bases, and an .809 OPS in 67 games for Cleveland last year.

Scott Barlow

Scott Barlow was traded to the Guardians this past November.

In six combined MLB seasons with the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres, the veteran right-handed reliever has gone 20-18 with a 3.36 ERA, 56 saves, 1.25 WHIP, and an average of 10.65 strikeouts per nine innings.

David Fry

After being traded to Cleveland in March of 2022, David Fry eventually made his Major League debut this past season.

The 28-year-old catcher and utilityman played in 58 games for Cleveland last year, hitting .238 with 24 hits, six doubles, four home runs, 15 RBI, and a .735 OPS.

Hunter Gaddis

Hunter Gaddis has pitched in 13 games for the Guardians over the past two seasons, nine of which have been starts.

The 25-year-old right-hander has gone 2-3 with a 6.57 ERA, 29 strikeouts, and a 1.48 WHIP.

George Valera

George Valera is currently Cleveland’s fifth-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline.

The 23-year-old outfielder has hit .242 with 301 hits, 52 doubles, 63 home runs, 223 RBI, and an .815 OPS in 355 Minor League games between rookie ball and Triple-A.

Deyvison De Los Santos

The Guardians selected Deyvison De Los Santos in the Major League Phase of the 2023 MLB Rule 5 Draft from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Currently Cleveland’s 12th-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline, the corner infielder hit .254 with 115 hits, 16 doubles, 20 home runs, 61 RBI, and a .728 OPS in his first full Double-A season last year.

Johnathan Rodríguez

Johnathan Rodríguez is currently the Guardians’ 25th-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline, who named him Cleveland’s 2023 Hitting Prospect of the Year.

Last year, the 24-year-old primary right fielder played in 135 games across Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus. He led the Guardians’ player development system in batting average (.286), hits (142), extra-base hits (59), home runs (29), RBI (88), slugging percentage (.529), and OPS (.897).

Also, according to Baseball America, Rodríguez has the best outfield arm in Cleveland’s player development system.
