MLB Network Analysts Take Braves Over Dodgers as Best Team in Baseball
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers had an offseason for the ages. The Dodgers built the best team they could have from top to bottom and have one of the best rosters in the league.

By all indications, the Dodgers are the team to beat in the upcoming 2024 season — or are they? According to MLB Network analysts Ron Darling and Matt Vasgersian, the Atlanta Braves are the team to beat heading into the 2024 season.

Here's what Darling had to say.

"I get to watch the Braves so often, and from top to bottom of that lineup, they are as explosive lineup as there is in baseball to go along with the Rangers, Dodgers, Houston and other teams."

Here's what Vasgerian had to say.

"The comment about his team being the most talented team in baseball, despite what the Dodgers have done, I personally agree with that. I think soups to nuts, top to bottom, I give the Braves that award."

Vasgersian is referring to the comment Braves ace Spencer Strider made during the Braves fan fest, where he said the Braves are the most talented team in baseball.

After everything the Dodgers did this offsseason, many still believe they are looking up at the Braves heading into this season. It's hard to argue with an unbiased lens. The Braves have been the cream of the crop for the past three seasons, as they always seem to be in the Dodgers' way, one way or another.

It's all talk right now. Soon, these two teams will need to duel it out and show they are the teams to beat in 2024. There's no doubt these two teams are in a league of their own in the National League, and they should be on a collision force to meet in the postseason. But then again, baseball is never that simple.
